Shoshana Hebshi settles lawsuit against TSA, Frontier Airlines


Shoshana Hebshi, the Ohio woman who was handcuffed, hauled off a plane at gunpoint, and strip-searched in a jail cell -- all without probable cause -- has settled her lawsuit against the TSA, Frontier Airlines, and other government agencies.

We’ve written about Shoshana Hebshi twice here at TSA News and about the hideous, Kafka-esque injustice she suffered at the hands of the United States government, via our friendly abusers at the TSA, Frontier Airlines, and law enforcement, aka the police.

Predictable: Pauley kills what Leon resurrected


Well, I was my usual fly-in-the-ointment self last week. While people were crowing over Judge Richard Leon's ruling in favor of We The People and against the NSA, I kept saying, "Don't get your hopes up. It's not going to last. It'll be appealed, and the next judge who comes down the pike will strike it down."

Stop Putting Kids in Solitary

Solitary confinement is torture. It has been understood to be such for decades. It's torture when you subject an adult to it, but it's beyond barbaric when you subject children to it. Yet that's what this country is doing.

This country is barbaric. We will have no way to change it unless we acknowledge that. You have to recognize and acknowledge something before you can change it.
